Les Raisins de la Mort was written and directed by Jean Rollin and is also known by the title ‘Grapes of Death‘.

The film touches on an eco-horror theme where pesticides that are being used on vineyards have some horrific side-effects and turn local residents into flesh-craving zombies.

The film has a great poster that borders on the absurd – itis a collage of real footage from the film, combined with a hand-drawn fist crushing a woman with a bunch of grapes. Well it is a Jean Rollin film, so its sets the tone from what you can expect from this often overlooked horror film. The telegram message at the top of the poster is a nice touch that adds stress and a sense of panic to the film.
